On a tip-off from Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel traveling by Hisar passenger train, Government Railway Police (GRP) arrested Seema, resident of Rangar village of Hoshiarpur district, for carrying army equipments, including six walkie-talkie sets, six chargers, antennas and an army uniform, sources said.
On interrogation, the accused, arrested under Sections 379 and 411 of the IPC, revealed that she had stolen a bag of an armyman from coach number six of the train after her own luggage was stolen.
However, reportedly one Hawaldar Sukhdev Singh admitted that his bag was stolen near Ludhiana but he did not lodge any report for the same.
Further investigation was going on.
