BJP ideology threat to national security'

PANAJI: The BJP's ideology is a threat to national security, Shantaram Naik, secretary of the All India Congress Committee said in a statement
issued recently. Naik said that the BJP's demand to scrap Article 370 of the Constitution implies that it wants total turmoil in the country, and that it desires that international forces should intervene to support divisive forces in Jammu and Kashmir and consequently, destabilize the country. "The BJP is fully aware that power is not within their reach, and therefore, leaders like Narendra Modi have been chosen to sow seeds of division in Goa in order to experiment with the party's ideology and to sow seeds of division," said Naik. Naik said that the BJP's demand for a Uniform Civil Code has a hidden objective in that the Code may lead to the curtailing of personal laws of minority communities. He charged that the chief minister of Karnataka is adopting talibanism. "It will not be surprising if girls in Karnataka are whipped on streets in the near future on grounds of morality norms, in violaton of their constitutional rights," Naik said. He also said that the former home minister of India, L K Advani, who, despite attacks on the Parliament, Red Fort, Akshardham and J&K assembly avoided taking effective steps against the country involved, should rightly be called a kamchor' home minister. "If these acts of the BJP are not a threat to national security, what else can they be?" Naik said asked his statement.
