Iran's state television said on Monday that country's Red Crescent Society has sent cargo planes filled with 50 tons of relief assistance to Egypt to be sent on to Gaza.
An announcement on the Iranian Red Crescent website on Sunday said the consignment included food and other supplies.
Earlier on Saturday, Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad condemned Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip and said Iran would stand by the Palestinians.
