NEW DELHI: The Delhi BJP has attributed its defeat in the Lok Sabha polls to the electorate’s decision to vote for the party or the alliance that “had more potential of forming a stable government”.At a meeting convened under the chairmanship of Delhi BJP president Om Prakash Kohli and attended by party candidates who contested the polls from Delhi and lost, their election organisers and members of the Election Management Committee, the leaders analysed the Lok Sabha results on Monday. They felt that the people voted against fractured politics to bring stability at the Centre. “While the Third and the Fourth front were rejected, the NDA was affected marginally. The seat loss for the NDA is 9.10 per cent and that of the BJP is 16 per cent compared with 2004 results,” said a BJP spokesperson. The leaders emphasised the need to re-orient the organisation to make it multi-dimensional and strong. The party also decided to take “deterrent” action against those whose role was found to be negative.
