Rockets from Lebanon hit Israel | |||
At least three rockets fired from Lebanon have hit northern Israel, Israeli officials say. "Three rockets fired into Israel landed outside the city of Kiryat Shmona," Micky Rosenfeld, a police spokesman, said on Wednesday. Witnesses said Israel responded immediately with artillery fire into southern Israel. An Israelii emergency official said no one was hurt in Wednesday morning's rocket attack. Al Jazeera's Rula Amin, reporting from Beirut, said people on the ground reported hearing three explosions. She pointed out that the rocket attack was not the first on Israel from Lebanon. Last week, there were a couple of rockets also fired from southern Lebanon into Israel. No one claimed responsiblity and Hezbollah said they had nothing to do with it. |
