Kerala: Campus Front Takes out Secretariat March
Thiruvananthapuram: Campus Front of India staged protest march to Kerala secretariat against government’s policy in respect with self financing college medical and engineering admission issue. The march which started from Rakthasakhi mandapam here was blocked by police in front of secretariat. Following this, Campus Front activists burned the effigy of Inter Chrurch Council. Inaugurating the march and dharna, state president Ajmal Ismail asked the Inter Church Council to shed its stubborn attitude and uphold social justice in admissions. Even after the discussion with government, the Council is continuing its negative stance regarding the government quota of 50 percent. It’s nothing but sheer arrogance. The Council is going ahead ignoring the verdicts of High Court and Supreme Courts. If the Inter Church Council and Amrita Institute management are continuing its resistance students community will be forced to take a decision on whether these institutions should function or not, he warned. Protest march was led by state leader Naseeruddeen, district president Sajjad, secretary Shefin Basheer and others.
